Last week I wrote a post on ‘embracing digital art‘ at our Web 2.0 Expo’s.
This week at Web 2.0 Expo Europe we present our virtual break rooms — a web-based audio tour of the Berliner Congress Center.
Plug in your headsets and visit www.ramagottfried.com/bcc for a ‘virtual break’ from the conference craze.
Presented are recordings of the Berliner Congress Center from various unique sonic locations in the architecture of the building which are explored by folding the sounds on top of each-other, and magnifying the natural reverberations of the spaces. The recordings were made the morning of October 8, 2008 - and document the sounds of the preparation for the coming convention.
Constructed in 1964 and renovated in 2002, the Berliner Congress Center is an official Berlin historical monument. This online sound installation was created for the participants of the Web 2.0 Expo Europe.
Enjoy.
