10 Things We've Learned at 37signals
Jason Fried, 37signals’ president and founder, shares valuable lessons, insightful observations, and the unconventional—sometimes controversial—marketing, business, and product development strategies that have made 37signals one of most influential and successful companies in the Web 2.0 arena.
Topics include tips on collaboration, team size, product road maps, sound decision making, boosting productivity, simplicity vs. clarity vs. complexity, the power of less, copywriting, key questions you should always be asking, and avoiding words that damage morale, make projects late, and inflame the wrong passions.
Jason’s trademark straight-ahead, no BS style is sure to make this session one of the most memorable of the conference.
I really loved this session. Jason had me at "momentum" (the first word he put up during his talk).

Awesome session. Awesome information. Very motivating and inspiring. When I grow up I want to be like Jason Fried.
Great! Not as applicable to larger companies or divisions, but a good peek into life at 37signals.
really excellent - talk about disrupting the classical product/company management paradigm. while i have led according to some of these principles, this takes it to a whole new level and has me thinking about how i will integrate some of this into the new business i am starting. and jason really has a gift for being focused and inspiring - and i love the straightforward and no bullshit approach.
by the way, is this guy available - what a hottie - and so damned smart!
Excellent speaker, right to the point. Good concepts and ideas, they sound simple ... but can be difficult to implement. Would recommend Jason speaks again!
This is Jason's standard talk, which I've seen 3 times now. My favorite part is watching audience squirm, because he's so radical. More time for questions is my only criticism and that's a result of Jason's great communication style and innovative/bordering-on-crazy thinking that gets all audiences ready to rally or run.
Frankly I was expecting Jason to shake things up much more than he did. I was hoping he'd shock the shit out of everyone with a wildly innovative approach to the creative process, but most of what he said I had heard before. I like his approach and already tend to do a lot of things he suggested. Maybe I need to talk to him over a beer to get the real golden nuggets. My notes on the talk are posted here: http://whitneyhess.com/blog/2008/09/web-20-expo-ny-jason-frieds-10-things-weve-learned-at-37-signals/
Jason is just a natural at this. He's a must see presenter. The content was useful and entertaining.
Best slides of any presenter. I've been following 37signals for a while and don't always drink the kool-aid but Jason and this presentation were a highlight of the expo for me.
This was fabulous! Jason was a very outspoken and charismatic speaker with some wonderful lessons!
Jason was a great speaker. I'll agree with a previous reviewer that what was said is fairly standard, but nonetheless it's always good to hear that you're on the right path or are at least pointing towards that path. Overall a good talk, relevant to my interests, and useful.
Thanks!
This was one of the best talks of the conference. engaging, and while all the ideas are certainly not applicable to most companies, it gets you thinking.
Great presentation by Jason - concise, to-the-point, and actionable. I've heard his talks via podcasts before, but hearing it 'live' really made it even more personal and drove home the message.

Sounds really really interesting! I'm somehow of a "fan" of 37 signals and have been using, loving and recommending basecamp for years now.
There are two other talks that I'm interested on at the same time.. but then again, what the hell!
