When computers first arrived at the Los Alamos Scientific Laboratory in the 1950s, scientists immediately started programming them to play chess. Since then, one of the most prominent narratives in computing and artificial intelligence has been a machine capable of beating the world champion. Thanks to Web 2.0 technologies, a similar man-versus-machine debate is emerging in the advertising industry. It’s called advertising automation.

Comments

Interesting panel. Liked the various viewpoints. Would have been nice if they understood my question regarding automation of the creative activities within the larger theme of overall advertising automation.

Interesting subject but it appeared as if the panelists did not know the attendees were in the room. Thye talked among themselves as opposed to directing their comments at the room. Also seemed like the Publicis guy got up on the wring side of the bed, he sounded extremely irritated throughout.
