Micro-Interactions: How Brands Can Influence Consumer Behavior in a 2.0 World
Track: Media & Marketing
Tags Media & Marketing
We live in a world where the little things really do matter. Each encounter no matter how brief is a micro-interaction that makes a deposit or withdrawal from our rational and emotional subconscious. The sum of these interactions and encounters adds up to how we feel about a particular product, brand, or service. Little things. Feelings. They influence our everyday behaviors more than we realize.
Find out what organizations are doing this and how we’ll all need to re-think how brands are built and sustained in an ever-changing 2.0 world.

So if a butterfly flaps it's wings in your stomach, what effect does it have on the rest of the world...? Maybe that's what you call a micro-interaction !?! LOL
David gave a great presentation. It really makes you think about the evolution of interaction with our customers.
I am thinking about how this applies to health care where the interaction with a member can be performed and influenced by many representatives that have no connection with your brand. Interesting challenges!
Thanks David for a presentation which will stick in my head for a while - "Oh! That's a micro-interaction... Oh! Another one!". Cheers.
Thanks for making the presentation available. Between listening, reading & writing notes, it was a lot of information to absorb in 50 minutes. I'm glad to have the chance to review it again plus I love some of your visual diagram designs. They communicate more than a couple of paragraphs of text could.
Here's a version of the presentation on Slideshare. Thanks for coming everyone.

Engaging and new content. Found this less historical and repetitive of what everyone is saying like some other presentations, and more on the thought leader ship level I expect at the conference. Well done.
Great talk. Great illustrations. And a very interesting new concept of micro-interactions... Really does make you think about the whole "if a butterfly flaps its wings..." theory. I'm just left wondering who won the raffle for David's left boot (ref: Dave's tweet just before the session).
Thanks for a really good session. I've posted my summary/review here:

Damn I've already got butterflies in my stomach.
