IDEO ran dozens of experiments in offices around the globe, testing everything from multitouch displays and always-on videoconferencing to blogs, wikis, and other social networking tools. Their early iterations have led to the design of an intranet system that uses personal portfolio-building as the basis for knowledge sharing.

IDEO is delighted to share their design process and the solutions it has produced. Take a tour of what they’ve built, why they’ve built it, and how it’s working.

Saw some interesting things, and it's my own fault for not noticing this was a sponsored session, but I didn't really get engaged in it.

I actually thought this was a pretty awesome session, though I was skeptical at the outset. It wasn't like a sponsored session, since it was an internal project, and I'm very glad that IDEO chose to share it with folks here -- hell, I'd want to if I were fortunate enough to have been involved with it.

Great Session. Many examples and ideas to take back.

got some good ideas from this for our agency

I thought this was terrific but maybe that is because it addresses something that I have been thinking about and it was brilliant to see how they have put this all together so elegantly.

Great demo of real-world, "corporate" application of Web 2.0 and how it translates to collaboration and communication within the company. Would have loved to have seen more sessions like this.

Really well done panel and great to have an agency open itself up and expose its inner workings
