Web2Open is Web 2.0 Expo’s “unconference”—a free, community-driven event where you can connect with other participants on Web 2.0 topics that you want to discuss. As an unconference Web2Open lets attendees determine available sessions using an on-site grid, and it emphasizes participation over presentations.

Comments

The initial meeting place for Web2Open was almost impossible to find. Signposts would have been really useful!

It was great that Web2Open was on the Expo floor but the noise from the show floor drowned out the discussions making anything more than a roundtable discussion next to impossible.

Next year consider putting the rooms in the corner of the Expo floor but put curtains up above the rooms to block some of the noise from the show floor.

Pretty good introduction to the process - not a great location (people had trouble finding it) but that's what happens. Definite interest in the process, which was gratifying. And obviously the leaders have passion for this type of forum

Nice intro and fun doing Web2Open, but having to find this meeting room, then moving immediately to the Expo floor, was kinda unnecessary.
