The Ajax revolution is complete: Sophisticated JavaScript user interfaces are nearly ubiquitous. Yet, the innovations in the Ajax community continue. However, as we take a look back at why Ajax took off, we realize how important the user experience it is. As developers we often talk more about the engine than the car itself.

In this talk, Dion and Ben discuss the latest developments, including multithreaded JavaScript technology-powered UIs, robust offline storage, choosing the right Ajax/JavaScript technology framework, Ajax outside of the browser, and more.

A nice approach to AJAX and to a likely future of the internet based on those technologies, worthwhile for technicians and not technicians.

these guys did a great job explaining something that at least for me (not a developer) was very graspable and useful. thanks.

I love these guys! Excellent tag-team approach to speaking and solid coverage of material. We are using Prototype.js - good to hear it is still at the top 3 of the bunch.

Largely review for me, except integration with desktop services like Growl via gears. Great speakers though!

Great speakers. Great overview. Bring them back again!

Really great speakers and the subject matter was great. One of the best sessions I attended. The content was relative to me and they were able to answer all my questions.

Great speakers and I enjoyed the talk, though it really should have been titled "State of AJAX," not "State of Web Development." Of course, I could've read the description more closely. :)

Excellent speakers and content. Learned a lot.
